Hey everyone! I've been thinking on getting a new stainless steel necklace, but I'm not certain if it's safe to wear it in the shower. I've heard conflicting opinions on whether stainless steel can control water exposure without tarnishing or causing any skin reactions. Does anyone get any experiences or advice on this?

I've worn stainless steel jewelry in the shower before and haven't had any concerns so far. I think as long as it's high-quality stainless steel, it should be wonderful, right? but I'm curious to hear if anyone has had a different practice.

I've constantly been hesitant to dress in any jewelry in the shower, no matter the material s. Doesn't the soap and water combination affect the metal over time? I'd really like to hear from someone who knows more about the science behind it.

I'm no specialist, but I've read that stainless steel is usually resistant to rust and corrosion, which is why it's usually utilised in kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures. but does that same principle apply to jewelry? And what about stainless steel that's been plated with other metals?

I've had a stainless steel bracelet for years, and I use it in the shower almost every day. It still looks nearest new! I feel the key is to assure you're purchasing from a reputable seller and correctly caring for your jewelry.

I've had some bad experiences with wearing jewelry in the shower, especially if it's created of more affordable alloy. My skin tends to react badly, and the jewelry finishes up losing its shine pretty speedily. So, I'm definitely fascinated in knowing if stainless steel is different in that regard.

What on the water temperature? Does it make a difference whether you're showering in hot water versus cold water? Could that affect how the stainless steel reacts?

I've heard that specified chemicals in shampoos, conditioners, and body washes can interact with alloy, leading to them to tarnish or lose their shine faster. Could that be a concern with stainless steel jewelry in the shower?

I think it also depends on the distinct type of stainless steel used. There are different grades, right? Any may be more prone to corrosion or tarnishing than others. It would be helpful to know which grade is perfect for shower exploit.
