the main challenge is the difference in thermal expansion coefficients between the two metals. This can leadéto cracking and distortion during welding. On top, achieving a sturdy bond among stainless and mild steel can be difficult due to their diverse compositions. I did handle to overcome those challenges with canny selection of welding techniques and filler materials.
