I've had a stainless steel fridge for a while now, and I have to admit, smudges and fingerprints can be a soreness. However I find that using stainless steel cleaner regularly helps. Plus, it really elevates the look of my kitchen.

I believe it depends on the brand and the quality of the stainless steel used. Any cheaper stainless steel fridges might not hold up as well over period, whereas higher-end ones could last for years without any issues.
