Well, the method normally begins with the creation of a wax pattern employing a mold or 3d printing. This pattern is then coated with multiple layers of ceramic slurry to generate a shell around it. Once the shell has dried, it's heated to melt away the wax, leaving behind a hollow cavity. Molten metal is then poured into the cavity and permit to solidify, forming the conclusive cast metal component.
