1 of the most common challenges i've faced is porosity in castings, specifically with complex shapes or thin sections. Porosity can weaken the structure of the part and compromise its integrity. To tackle this concern, i've found that optimizing gating and venting systems, controlling the pouring temperature, and using proper refractory materials can help minimize porosity and improve casting grade.
