Is a 14-inch Stainless Steel Skillet worth the Investment for Casting?

I'm mainly interested in utilizing it for larger projects like molds for sculptures and certain Diy projects. I've read that stainless steel is more lasting and has better temperature distribution in contrast to more materials.
