Rust Removal from Cast Steely with out Steel Wool
#5
I haven't attempted the lemon juice and salt method however, but it sounds like a great option! An additional meek approach is to exploit a potato and dish soap. Cut a potato in half and dip the cut side in dish soap or baking soda. Rub the potato on the rusted areas, employing the natural acidity of the potato to help dissolve the rust. Afterward, rinse the cast iron thoroughly and dry it completely. It's a mild and natural way to wash erode with out scratching the surface of the cast iron. Have you heard of this procedure before?
