Comparing 18/8 Stainless Steel to 304 Ss Casting Which is Superior?

It would seem like both 18/8 stainless steel and 304 Ss casting have their advantages and disadvantages depending on the specific software and manufacturing processes concerned. Would you say that a is generally better than the other, or does it ultimately appear down to the requirements of the project?
