hello everyone, I'm thinking about updating my old gas range and I'm really drawn to the 30 inch slide-in gas range in stainless steel casting. Does anyone here have any experience with these? What are their strengths and limitations?

hey, good to see someone else appreciates a good gas range. I have been using one for about two years now. The key strengths are its functionality and aesthetics. It's easy to clean, efficient in heating, and looks great in my kitchen. However, it may tend to scratch easily so you'd have to be careful with it. Plus, the heat distribution on the burners is not always uniform.

adding onto 's great input, the stainless steel casting doesn't just look cool but also enhances durability, so that's a major advantage as well. In terms of limitations, cost could be a factor to consider, they tend to be on the pricier side.

totally agree. They do look sleek and cook efficiently, but the price tag was a bit beyond my budget. I ended up with a freestanding model that was a bit cheaper but just as functional in the end.

thank you, everyone, for sharing your experience and insight. I will review my budget and consider these points as well.
