Hey everyone, I've been considering obtaining any stainless steel whiskey rocks to chill my drinks with out diluting them. Has any person here tried them before? Are they as good as they're cracked up to be?
I've used stainless steel whiskey rocks meantime now, and I must say, they're pretty handy. No more watered-down whiskey, just a flawlessly chilled drink invariably.
I've been curious on them too. but do they affect the flavor of the whiskey at all? I'm worried they might impart a metallic flavor.
I've read mixed reviews on that,. Any people say they don't notice any variation in taste, while other folks assert they can detect a slender metallic taste, especially if they leave the rocks in the drink for too long.
That's something to deem. I don't want my expensive whiskey to taste weird through the rocks. but then again, I hate it when my drink gets watered down too quickly.
Yeah, that's the dilemma I faced too,. I ended up providing stainless steel rocks a have a go, and I haven't looked back since. Certain, there may possibly be a slight distinction in taste, but in my case, it's worth it to have a consistently chilled drink without dilution.
Agreed,. plus, stainless steel rocks are pretty sturdy. You don't have to worry about them breaking like standard ice cubes.
That's true, but what about the environmental impact? Aren't stainless steel rocks only another form of single-use plastic?
I see your point,. Nevertheless, stainless steel rocks are reusable, so they're absolutely more environmentally friendly than single-use plastic alternatives like disposable ice cubes.
It seems like there are a lot of factors to consider. Taste, longevity, environmental effect... I guess I'll need weigh the advantages and disadvantages before making a determination.
